The grand prize is a Kindle Paperwhite!

Two gift certificates of $25 each (winners' choice of GC from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or All Romance Ebooks)

Also, each author will be giving away an additional prize of their choosing.

That's almost 30 prizes in total!

I’ll be giving away a $5 GC (also the winner’s choice of Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or ARE). More details on how to win at the bottom of the post.

Since the sun is shining and I’d much rather be lying on a beach somewhere pretty than stuck in the office, I’m going to share a little about Isle of Sensuality with you. (I’m definitely in the mood to escape to Rio)!

Isle of Sensuality was my second book published by Beachwalk Press, and I was really excited to work with them again. Not only do they have fabulous covers, great books and tick all the boxes I was looking for in a publisher, they are wonderful to work with and really make my stories shine.

Who knew being with Mr. Wrong could be so right?

Caitlyn Hart is shooting her first movie, and she doesn't want to screw it up. Still, she's on a deadline and when her co-star, Mr. Hot Shot Campbell, holds filming up, he's immediately on her shit list. But she can't ignore his charms for long or the overpowering want she feels for him. Even though she knows he's her Mr. Wrong, she doesn't mind him being her Mr. Right Now. If only her silly heart would stay immune.

Having been burned once, Jake Campbell doesn't have the capacity to love, but that doesn't mean relationships of a purely sexual nature are off limits. After all, a man has needs. His sexy co-star with fire red hair and a passion to match ignites his own desire and he sets out to convince her a fling is the only way to scratch the proverbial itch. Little did he figure that she'd be the one to penetrate the thick scars on his heart and make him feel.

"Are you looking forward to tomorrow?" Jake asked.
Caitlyn's brows pulled together as she tried to work out what was so special about the following day. Nothing came to mind. "Tomorrow?"
Jake turned to look at her, the cheeky grin back in place which had her heart beating out an unsteady rhythm. "Our characters will share their first kiss."
Her eyes widened as her face grew hot. How could she have forgotten? Probably because she'd been too busy stressing over the love scene to worry about much else.
"Not particularly," she breathed. Jake studied her with a teasing glint in his eyes. Her face flamed.
"Not buying it."
Irritation flared again and she clenched her hands into fists. She had to remind herself to keep her cool around him. She was supposed to be torturing him, not being tortured herself. Still, the thought that in less than twenty-four hours she'd have his lips on hers sent little heated jitters coursing through her body.
She forced her stiff shoulders to shrug, mortified by her lack of acting ability in his presence. "You can believe what you like."
He pulled the cling film from a platter of sandwiches and offered her the plate. Caitlyn picked up a smoked salmon piece and brought it to her lips. She groaned as the flavor of the bread and fish played across her taste buds. Jake's gaze went to her mouth and, feeling a little vindictive, she licked her lips. He swallowed and a thrill ran through her as she realized perhaps she really was torturing him.
With his focus still on her lips, he asked, "Do you really want our first kiss to be in front of the camera?"
The vindictive thrill vanished as panic started to creep in. She was alone with a man she barely knew for the second time in less than a day. Her thoughts were spinning with bad case scenarios and she couldn't even hear the voice of logic in her head telling her she was overreacting. All she could think of was she was there—literally flirting with danger—alone with Jake and no one had any idea where she was.
"Hey, Caitlyn, what's wrong?" Jake's eyes were serious and he looked concerned. Her inner fear must have shown in her expression, but she couldn't feel embarrassed about it yet. The panic was still forefront in her mind.
"Why did you bring me here?" She hated that her voice sounded small and frightened.
His eyes widened in surprise. "I brought you here because it's the nicest place I've seen on the island and I wanted to spend time with you. Having dinner where we could watch the sun set was all I had in mind."
She relaxed a little at his words. Jake sounded like he was telling the truth, and perhaps a little affronted she had doubted him. "I'm sorry, I overreacted." The voice of logic didn't have to whisper that in her head, it was obvious.
He shrugged and a hint of a smile played around the edges of his mouth. "I won't force you to do anything you're not comfortable with. That's not my style." He paused, took a bite of his sandwich, and swallowed before he continued. "Though if you wanted something to happen, I certainly wouldn't protest."
He winked at her and for an awful moment, Caitlyn had the wildest urge to close the distance between them and plant her lips on his, pulling herself against his well-sculpted chest.
"That won't ever happen," Caitlyn said with bite, trying to convince herself more than him.

Thank you so much for hosting me!  I loved writing this book and I hope that readers will enjoy reading it as much as I adored the process of writing it.  I am working on a novella sequel to this novel, Ella’s story.  Enjoy Reality Hero, I can’t wait to hear what you think.  I love reader email at!

Can reality TV handle a reluctant superhero bachelor, ten attention-seeking women, and one evil villain?

Dina Dell's career as a television producer has hit bottom. Desperate to save her job, she comes up with the idea for a reality show called I Want to Date a Superhero. But the only superhero bachelor she knows is the only man she's ever loved—Zane Blair.

Zane was once a normal human, but a traumatic childhood incident mutated him, along with Dina's sister and their friends. Dina was the only one who escaped without any superhero abilities. And while she might be the "normal" one, that only left her feeling like more of an outcast.

Her lack of powers put Zane in danger. Knowing that it was only a matter of time before someone used her to get to him, she left, breaking both their hearts in the process. After all the pain she caused him, will he be willing to help her now?
Then an old enemy emerges, putting Dina's plans on hold. When her superhero friends are the ones who need help, Dina just might learn that sometimes little Miss Average can be a hero too.

Content Warning: graphic sexual content.

Here’s an excerpt:

Zane looked at Dina in disbelief. Before he could stop himself, he was crushing her to him in a desperate kiss. His mouth ravished her with primitive savagery. Dina melted against him. Her lips parted and he slid his tongue into her mouth. She tasted so damn good. Feeling her body against his was an incredibly heady sensation. He never wanted to let her go. Her tongue slipped inside his mouth and explored. Zane growled and held her close for a second longer.
He pulled back, searching her expression for any sign that she was ready to admit they belonged together. Her wide eyes gazed up at him, and her lips parted slightly. She flushed, looking incredibly sexy. Just looking at her made his cock stiffen.
She put her forehead against his chin and closed her eyes. “You’d better go before someone comes to investigate how I am.”
He pushed back from her. She was a damn stubborn woman. He must like to suffer, because that was part of her appeal. He’d always loved a challenge. “Someday, I won’t obey your every command, Di.”
He had no idea just how much those old feelings still lived inside of her. She opened the door, this time he didn’t get it for her, and she ran up the stairs and into her building like the chicken she was. Her inner voice made clucking sounds the whole time she fled. Nothing terrified her quite like her longing for him. She wondered if he knew it and hoped he didn’t.
She’d never get any rest and she had a mountain of work so she sat down and started going over everything. There was a lot more to putting on good TV than just turning on a camera. The phone rang and she jumped. Her hand slapped around on top of all the papers on the desk until she found her cellphone buried under them.  Her eyes were so blurry that she didn’t even bother to look at the caller ID.
“Hello,” Dina said.
“I’ve never been ashamed of you until today. Dina, how could you? You know Zane would never let you down. You used his feelings to abuse his good heart. I’m so angry with you that I don’t even know the right words to express it. If you needed something, why didn’t you talk to me first? I could’ve helped you. We could’ve come up with something different.”
There was a pause. Dina didn’t know what to say. It was a small relief when Ella continued.
“He hates the media, and now he’ll not only just be on your show, but the tabloids will eat him alive too. They’ll do all they can to find out his secret identity. You know the lies those rags print. This will start a feeding frenzy.”
Dina knew she deserved the tongue lashing, so she said nothing. She had no defense, because her twin was right.
“Call this off. Please, as my sister, do this for me and save the best man in the city from this horrible mistake. I know how you feel about him, and you know how I feel about him. We both know how he feels about you.”
There was another pause. Dina’s throat closed. She knew, and it tore at her heart.
“Are you still there?” Ella sounded annoyed.
“Yes,” Dina whispered brokenly.
“When you left, you ripped out his guts. Don’t destroy his life. He still loves you.”
“I know.” That was what made asking him to be on the show so damn hard.
“I don’t know why you turned your back on us, but you owe him. We all do. He’s the best of us. We’ve lost Aaron. Don’t take Zane away too. If he’s exposed, God only knows what will happen to him—us. Don’t do this, Dina.”
She bit her lip. She wanted to tell her sister she’d come to her senses, but it was too late.
“Ella, I’m so sorry. I hate myself, but it’s too late. They’re already airing the promos on the network, and the casting call went out. In the morning, I’m going to have dozens of women begging me to be on this show. Zane and I have been over for a very long time. We both know which one of us is in his life. You should be with him, not me. I’m his Achilles heel.”
“Being in his life isn’t the same as being in his heart, sis. He’s always loved you, and while we look alike, I’ll never be you. He wants you.”

And the winner is…

First (because I’m a tease) I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who commented, shared, and joined Rae & I for our release day last Thursday. Your support was fabulous and greatly appreciated.

My brother wasn’t around for this raffle, so I left the picking a name out of a hat (well, empty coffee cup as that's all we had on hand) to my overly excited colleague who pulled…

Jill Steeples!

Congratulations Jill, you’ve won the Amazon gift card I had up for grabs. Though I don’t have your email address. Please send me an email at aimeeduffy11(at)gmail(dot)com and I’ll hook you up :o)

And there’s another fantastic HarperImpulse book out today, Confessions of a Chalet girl. Click here to find out more.

Confessions of a Chalet Girl - Out now!

Today I have the lovely Lorraine Wilson on the blog celebrating her debut release with HarperImpulse, Confessions of a Chalet Girl.

Thank you so much for coming over to let me pick your brains! You may regret that in a minute :o). I have a few questions about your latest release that I am just dying to get my hands on.

Can you sum up Confessions of a Chalet Girl?

‘Confessions of a Chalet Girl’ is a fun, flirty read that promises snow, sex and secrets! A recent Goodreads review said it was “All in all a fun and cute romance with some steamy scenes.” I’m pretty happy with that summary!

My Pinterest Story Board is probably the best way to sum up the feel of the story -

What made you choose Verbier as the location for Confessions of a Chalet Girl?

Verbier is a very exclusive ski resort but it also has a lively après-ski circuit so I think it makes a perfect story setting. Plus you’ve got outdoor hot tubs, roaring log fires, it’s snowing…all pretty romantic!

Sounds dreamy! Do you enjoy skiing? Have you been before?

I did used to ski but my main reason for wanting to use it as a setting is that I love the Alps – I travel to Switzerland a lot and know the locations pretty well. It’s a beautiful backdrop for a story. I’m actually setting out for Switzerland again today (27th) - we’re renting a chalet and I’ll be sitting in the mountains writing my next story!

(Aimee butting in – I thought you were going to take me in your suitcase?)

Are the Swiss men lush?

Ahem, let’s just say that skiing attracts some really fit men and they flock from pretty much every nation, you can take your pick ;-)

Now I’m very put out that you left without me. For twats (me) who don’t know what a chalet girl is, can you tell us a bit about Holly’s job?

Chalet girls live in the same chalet as the paying guests and have to work pretty hard but they get free board and lodge and usually get a ski pass thrown in as well. As long as they get up to make the breakfasts/beds/cakes/clean etc. the rest of their time is their own. Although sometimes they might be expected to entertain the guests…

Sounds kinky, though that may be because I’m in full erotica mode right now hehe. So, who was the inspiration for Scott?
I have a soft spot for Michael Weatherly (from NCIS) and in one photo in particular I think he looks the part.

Do you have a picture?

Oh, now he is nice...

And Holly, what’s her confessions, or is that a secret? You gotta give me something, June 27th is a long time to wait :o) *Note. It was at the time, but I’ll have found out not long after I’ve posted this, Yay!

I couldn’t possibly give away my heroine’s secrets – she’d never forgive me ;-)

Thank you so much for coming Lorraine, really can’t wait to read it! Here’s a little about Confessions of a Chalet Girl to get you in the mood.

Blurb: Set in the exclusive Swiss ski resort of Verbier, the winter playground of the rich and famous, Confessions of a Chalet Girl is a fun and flirty contemporary romance novella from the fabulous Lorraine Wilson.
The slopes seriously start to heat up when chalet girl Holly is propositioned by her sexy new boss!

Excerpt from ‘Confessions of a Chalet Girl’

“Get it off!"
Shouts and wolf whistles filled the packed bar. Embarrassment prickled at Holly Buchanan's skin. Chalet girl initiation? Huh, why not just throw her to the lions and have done with it?
Swallowing hard, she scanned the crowd. Could she pull this off? They looked inebriated enough to have their designer wool scarves pulled over their eyes.
Bras of all colours and sizes dangled from the wooden beams of the bar's ceiling, resembling pastel-coloured Christmas decorations. 'The Wonderbar', the venue for her first night out in Verbier was, despite appearances, not a seedy strip joint but a favourite haunt of savvy seasonnaires. Not to mention the occasional billionaire.
She heard it grew pretty steamy in the small hours. Not that she was planning on sticking around to see. No way was she dancing on a table.
A throbbing tension headache pulsated against her temples.
What the frick am I doing here?
Enduring ritual humiliation in return for the ten free shots her team would get if she whipped off her bra was hardly her idea of a good night out.
"Off, off, off."
Her heart performed a neat back flip down to the soles of her boots.
Come on Holly, work it! You can do it.
“Off, off, off.”
She took a deep breath and stepped forward. It wasn't as if she even wanted the blasted drinks but failure was not an option. Fitting in was going to be difficult. Her wavy auburn hair contrasted with the straight, identikit caramel locks of the other chalet girls and a glimpse in the mirror confirmed she was paler than an anaemic ghost beside their healthy tans. She'd packed for winter, not clubbing and her cheap cashmere sweater clashed with the other chalet girls' strappy, sparkly tops that defied the sub-zero temperatures outside.
“Off, off, off,” the chanting grew louder and more impatient.
I hate, hate, hate this…
She slid one hand up underneath her jumper, giving silent thanks to veteran chalet girl Sophie who'd warned her about the initiation. It’d given her time to come up with a miraculous idea. An idea that had to work because no way was she doing this for real.

If for some inexplicable reason that hasn’t convinced you, here’s what the reviewers are saying…
“This was such an amazingly intriguing novella. It was sexy and fun. All the things I look for in a good read." Confessions of a Book Whore
“All in all a fun and cute romance with some steamy scenes. Definitely a read lovers of the genre will enjoy.” Goodreads review
"The setting might be cold but the romance is HOT!" One More Page review

Sexy, touching read for under a quid, today only!

JM Stewart's hottest new release is under $1 today, and rocking the Amazon charts. Go grab it up, quick.

Cat Edwards has spent her life playing the wallflower in an effort to escape the repressive weight of her mother’s tarnished name. Dragged to a bar by her best friend in an effort to forget a broken heart, the shy bookworm is determined to be someone else for the night, but quickly gets in over her head. She discovers chivalry isn’t dead after all when a mysterious stranger comes to her rescue. He’s wearing black leather and a mischievous smile that promises to be exactly what she needs.

When his terminally ill father suffers a setback, Michael Brant returns to the town he swore ten years ago he’d never return to. He’s come home this time determined to make peace with the past, but being home brings up memories he doesn’t want to remember anymore. His first night in town, he’s captured by a damsel in distress. Cat’s beauty is made all the more alluring when he realizes she has no idea who he is. He can’t resist spending a single night in her arms. With her, he’s only a man, disconnected from his family’s name and the past that haunts him here.

As the town erupts with the news of his return, Michael’s dark past comes back to haunt him, putting Cat in danger. Someone is threatening her life and the life of her family. Desperate to keep history from repeating itself, Michael offers her his family’s name in order to keep her safe. When the lie spirals beyond their control, can they stop their hearts from becoming entangled as well?

Whatever happened between them left him caught. Kaylee’s death cut a hole in him he hadn’t patched. Ten years of trying to forget the unbearable guilt of his role in her death. He’d set boundaries on all of his relationships, liked them simple and uncomplicated. What he felt for Cat went beyond complex. He liked the idea of wrapping his life around her. To see what she clearly felt for him shining back at him in the depths of her eyes made the idea all the more tempting. The question was, did he even have the right to happiness when his selfish needs had gotten not one but three people killed?

He left Cat’s mouth to trail kisses down her long neck and across her shoulder, relishing the sweet, velvety feel of her skin. She clung to his shoulders like she needed him every bit as much as he needed her. He shut his mind off. He didn’t want to think anymore. He wanted to drink her in, lose himself in her.

He drew his lips up the side of her neck and scraped his teeth over her earlobe. “You know, nobody can see us back here.”

She pulled back, her heavy-lidded eyes searching his with uncertainty, unease. “Here?”

He drew her bottom lip in between his and sucked gently, lifted his hands and cupped her breasts in his palms, let his thumbs drag across the hardening tips. Her eyes fluttered closed, a soft moan escaping her as she dropped her head back.

“I need you.” He whispered against her skin as he bent his head to taste the exposed column of her throat. “Now.”

It was all the explanation he could muster. All he knew was he wanted her. Needed her. Needed to feel her body joined with his, to feel the intense connection between them. He wanted to lay claim to her body, her heart, her soul, and he wanted it with a fierceness that shook him. He needed to be a part of her, to take a part of her with him when he left.

Surrender to Me & #giveaway

As well as Ella being a fellow Beachwalk Babe, she is also one of my favourite authors. I’m not the biggest fan of BDSM, but Ella’s stories are deeply emotive, and very romance focused. Her characters literally leap out of the page, and did I mention they're hot ;o)?

We first meet the Dom Martin in Make Me Stay, which I adored and fell for him a little. I was thrilled to get my hands on an advanced copy and devoured Surrender to Me in a couple of hours.

I’ll hand you over to Ella. Make sure to enter the Rafflecopter giveaway, there’s a $10 gift card up for grabs.

I’m pleased to announce the release of Surrender to Me, the sequel to Make Me Stay.

What happens when a Dominant falls for his not-so-submissive attorney?

Martin Abrams, owner of Master M's BDSM club, has become unfulfilled with his lifestyle. Ever since his sub, Gracie, left to marry her true love, Martin has lost his way. Living the life of the head Dominant in his circle isn't as appealing as it once was. Something seems to be missing.

Sassy lawyer Arianna Covington relocates to New York City after a humiliating divorce. She's looking for a fresh start when she agrees to become Martin's exclusive attorney. She's intrigued by his domineering personality and wants to know why women kneel at his feet.

Their attraction is undeniable despite Ari's initial beliefs that she will never submit to Martin's desires. But Martin is up for the challenge. Arianna is more than he ever imagined in a woman. He vows to claim her heart, with or without the games. Who will surrender first?

Featuring Cade and Gracie from Make Me Stay.

Check out the hot and sexy trailer for a peek into the plot.

“All the subs act that way around you?” Arianna asked.
“It’s the only way they know. It’s what’s expected of them.”
“I don’t understand how any woman would bow down like that. It’s not normal.”
“Maybe not for you.” Martin understood Arianna’s position. Most who didn’t participate in a Dominant and submissive relationship didn’t get it.
“It’s degrading. She can’t use the phone. She’s a grown woman.”
“Arianna, this is a lifestyle you can’t possibly comprehend because you know nothing about it. A submissive gets just as much as he or she gives. The arrangement they enter into with a Dom is consensual. Roxy is not forced into being here. Her Dom respects and cares for her. She has a very good life.”
“He punishes her.”
“When she disobeys. It’s in her contract.”
“A contract that can’t possibly be enforced in court.”
“Spoken like a true lawyer.” He finished his scotch. “The contract is to protect them both. It lists what is expected of a sub and what the Dominant’s responsibilities are. They outline hard and soft limits. We create a safe, sane, and consensual environment, and that contract maintains trust between the two parties. As long as it is upheld between the parties involved that’s all that matters.”
“To each his own, I suppose.” She shrugged. “I’m your real estate attorney. What you do here is none of my business.”
Then why are you here, kitten?
“I’m very open, Arianna. If you have questions, I’ll be happy to answer them. People should be educated in my lifestyle. It isn’t as uncommon or bizarre as you may think.” He reached for her hand. “I hope you won’t judge me without getting to know me.”
“Um, no.” She looked down at their joined hands. He liked the way her cheeks turned colors when he flustered her. “Of course not. This whole environment is different. It’s going to take some getting used to.”
“I understand.” He ran his thumb over the soft skin of her hand. “If you’d prefer not to meet here anymore—”
“It’s not a problem.”
“Very well.” He smiled because as he suspected she wanted to be there. “Will you join me for dinner?”
Martin couldn’t remember the last time he’d asked a woman to have dinner with him. He usually just summoned a sub when he was in the mood for company. Gracie was the last woman he’d spent any time with at all. Perhaps it was time to explore his options. Obviously, Arianna would be different than the women he dealt with, but he liked the change. When Gracie left him for Cade everything changed. He hadn’t been interested in another sub. As a matter of fact, he hadn’t been interested in another woman until now.
“I’d love to join you for dinner, Mr. Abrams.”
“I’d like you to call me Martin.” Allowing people to use his name wasn’t a privilege he granted often, but everything was different with her. He stood from the bar and picked up her briefcase. “I hope you like Italian. I ordered enough for six people. I wasn’t sure what you would want.”
“Italian is fine.” She took his extended hand and walked to the back of the club with him. “Why didn’t you just wait and ask what I would want?”
“I’m not used to asking.” He motioned for her to take a seat in the huge u-shaped booth that overlooked the Manhattan skyline.
“Oh, Martin.” She giggled. He liked the way his name tumbled off her lips. “You have a lot to learn about non-submissive women.”

Surrender to Me is the sequel to Make Me Stay but both books stand alone so the reader can choose to read either one first. You may want to start with Make Me Stay to get the back story.
