Sunburn, by Rosanna Leo

She approached the booth, only to find the blond bartender manning it. Her eyes almost popped and she blurted, “You!”
He grinned, but there was still a tightness around his eyes, as if he were sizing her up. “Hello, Patience.” His strained expression said volumes about what he considered to be the unsuitability of her name.
She tried to ignore the sucker punch in her gut, the one that hit her as soon as his deep, velvety voice caressed her eardrums. “Aren’t you supposed to be at the bar?”
His smile grew wider, showing off his perfect white teeth. “I’m everywhere.”
“Clearly.” She forced herself to look away from his gorgeous face, feeling light-headed because of the suns dancing in her eyes, the suns that seemed to come from him. To distract herself, she touched a few of the painted bowls on display. Not that it snuffed out those blasted suns.
He stepped closer. “Do you see anything you like?”
She choked on her saliva and coughed like a victim of the Black Death. He rushed to calm her, putting his hand on her back, massaging. She recovered upon feeling his touch and was hit by the bizarre, fleeting notion his touch made her recover. As if he’d healed her.
Utter nonsense. Yet as much as it was nonsense, her head swam with the bizarre possibility.
“Better?” he asked quietly, his face serious now.
She stared into the man’s eyes. They were blue, so very blue. “Uh, yeah, thanks.” Curiosity got the better of her and the question poured out. “What’s your name anyway?”
He breathed in. “Apollo Delos.”
“Oh, wow,” she said, breaking into a grin. “Just like Apolo Anton Oh no! I loved him on Dancing with the Stars!”
He got a curious look and let out a strange laugh. “Yeah. Just like him.”

Hijacked, by Sidda Lee Tate

“I should go,” Sharon said without attempting to move from his grasp. Not being next to him seemed wrong.

“You should,” he whispered, his mouth finding the sensitive spot just under her ear, making her knees wobble and her thoughts scatter. “You should go home with me.”

She knew the best thing for her would be to run and stay as far away from Kyle as possible. She’d let him in. In the three hours they’d talked, he’d learned more about her than anyone ever had. She couldn’t get emotionally attached. What would that do? Nothing. Nothing but eventually leave her crushed and heartbroken.

Ignoring the rational thoughts, the ones attempting to save her from the pain she never planned to experience, Sharon kissed him. He pulled her closer, pressing her body against his, and she became aware of the hard cock against her stomach. Her mind went back to hours before, how only his hand between her legs had pleasured her and she wanted more.

“I don’t think I can wait that long,” she groaned and slid her hand down between them, cupping his bulge, lightly rubbing.
Taking the soft spot at the base of his neck with her mouth, gripping his shirt in her fist, she tugged him closer, kissing and licking up his neck before finding his lips, parting them with her tongue. Moving backward, the car stopped them, the weight of his hips pinning her against it.
“Right…here,” she moaned in between breaths. “Now.”

Claiming her Dream, by Patricia Bates

Caine stepped through the trees and froze at the vision before him. A large, still pool spread out like a blanket. Dense moss covered birch trees lined the far shore. Boulders dotted the bank near him, creating a perfect walkway into the water. Narrow, slow moving water skipped over rocks and gravel to dip into the pool.
Living temptation stood waist deep in the middle. Her chocolate colored skin glistened with the cascading water from her cupped hands. Water sailed through the air like diamonds as she tossed black tresses over her shoulders. The ends skimmed over the water, waltzing with the current as she splashed glittering liquid over her
naked shoulders. Transfixed, he stared as her fingers delved into the tangled locks. Her movements revealed the pert globe of a breast and the neat tuck of her waist flowing into the curve of her hips. The tiny pucker above her buttocks begged to be kissed, to be licked, even nibbled.
In spite of his exhaustion, Caine noticed the less than subtle kick of his body’s reaction to the stunning beauty of the woman. His shaft stirred, pressing against the front placket of his trousers with a sudden jerk. The woman whipped around, her arms coming up to cover her naked breasts in a show of modesty.

Christmas is Cancelled, by Aurelia B Rowl

Tilly embraced him back tightly, her heart galloping as his eyes grew darker. Drawn together like magnets, she tilted her head up and moved toward him. He dipped his head to meet her halfway, and her pulse raced, his lips drawing tantalizingly near. She closed her eyes in anticipation, but he never made it.

"I'm sorry, I can't."

Flinging her eyes open, she was left reeling by the turmoil she saw in his eyes as he pulled back from her. "Why not?" she whispered, raising her hand to cup his cheek.

Screwing his eyes tight shut, he contradicted himself by leaning into her touch, his stubble scratching her palm like fine sandpaper. He was vulnerable, his control wavering. Quite frankly, it was the best opportunity she could ever hope to get, and she'd be stupid to waste it.

Years of longing came to fruition as she tentatively brushed her lips against Dean's. The shudder that ripped through him was so immense she had to do it again, lingering this time. His lips were soft and warm but unyielding beneath hers. He hadn't pushed her away though.

Emboldened, she ran her tongue over his lips, desperate to taste him. The groan wrought from his throat was spine tingling, hot-wired directly to her core, and suddenly he was kissing her back. A shrill ringing erupted from her handbag, and they both jumped.

"Ignore it," he mumbled against her lips, parting them, his tongue seeking permission to enter. She could only moan, communicating her agreement by granting access. Dean used his lips and tongue to expertly tease hers, over and over again, until her bones melted. She'd waited all her life to be kissed like this but, by God, it had been worth the wait. Except now she wanted more.

Hidden Heartache, by Suzanna Ross

He took a step towards her and her gaze fixed on his mouth. She watched as he smiled again and a scar on his upper lip caught her attention. It was faded, barely there, if he hadn’t been standing so close she’d never have seen it. It was the type of scar that might have resulted from a childhood accident such as falling face first onto the corner of a table...
She drew a ragged breath as a wave of nausea hit her. She hadn’t seen that scar for fourteen years. She staggered back and came hard up against the side of her car and was grateful for the support it offered. “Nick?” she queried disbelievingly.
“It’s been a long time, Emma. How have you been?”
The boy who’d haunted her dreams and her nightmares for as long as she could remember. How, in the name of all that was holy, had she not recognised him?
In her defence, she hadn’t been expecting to see him again, not after all these years. And he’d changed – he’d grown from a heartbreakingly beautiful boy of sixteen into a man of such raw sex appeal just looking at him took her breath away. She should have known it was him from her reaction the moment she’d seen him ride into the health centre car park on that motorbike. No other man had ever made her heart beat faster or elicited wicked thoughts with just a look – not even come close.
Of course it had to be Nick.
The pain took her unawares – a searing ache in her chest. For a minute she thought she was having a heart attack, but quickly realised it was a physical manifestation of fourteen years of mental torment. “What are you doing back?”

A Clockwork Butterfly, by Tabitha Rayne

Lena picked up the copper butterfly carefully in her fingertips. It was exquisite, and she never tired of studying Angelo’s craftsmanship. It gently, as if it were real, flapped its wings to reveal a new delicate carving on them.
“What’s this?” She sat up, tucking her legs underneath her, and tried to coax them open again. Angelo was smiling beside her.
“Touch the proboscis.” He motioned and Lena reached out to the feathery spiral. As her fingertip made contact, the wings opened again and rested there for her to see the new artwork. In the most intricate script were carved the words I love you.
Lena didn’t quite know what to do, say, or think until Angelo lifted the butterfly from her and tossed it up in the air, then pushed her on to her back, showering her with ferocious kisses. She watched the tiny creature flutter this way and that around the room while her body melted into Angelo’s embrace.
“I want to eat you up, ravish you, and come inside you,” said Angelo into her peaking flesh. When he was working her with his agile tongue, her entire skin became erogenous and she could barely think for the pleasure. Stars twinkled and burst wherever he kissed and Lena wriggled as his teeth joined in, raking her flesh and arousing every part of her.
